The last Forest School session for 6P!

What a beautiful day for 6P to have their very last Forest School session. They thoroughly enjoyed getting muddy and wet, playing in the stream, digging, making clay models, leaf bashing, tree climbing and swinging.

As a special treat, Mrs. Nicholson lit a fire so they could toast marshmallows and make s’mores. Delicious!

We had some special visitors who came to join us too – a deer bounded past some children on it’s way to the River Irk, then a duck and her ducklings had a swim while the children paddled.

Year 3 Forest School

We have had an amazing few weeks at Forest school, enjoying both Narnia and Foxes Den. The children of both year 3 classes experienced Narnia for the first time and once the stream was discovered they did not want to leave! They have moulded clay to make forest animals, used a billhook to chop wood to help prepare for their fire day in Foxes Den, had a great time exploring and even found ‘Stickman.’

Everyone loves fire day as a cold day out is always worth marshmallows and hot chocolate.

We are looking forward to more fun forest sessions especially as the weather gets colder. Lets make sure we are prepared and wrapped up warm. Bring on the snow!

Forest school is the best! Does it have to end?!

Every Thursday, year 5H  go to the amazing forest school to do out door work(which is very moody). The best part about forest school is spending time with friends and learning about the out side world. Before we left,we had to get on all of our forest clothes, which makes me boiling hot, because every time the class goes,we get very dirty! We always enjoy entering the secret tunnels and creating things. I would like to say a very, very big thank you to every one,who organised forest school!

Forest School

Every Thursday,Year 5H go to the brilliant, spectacular forest school. Firstly,we can go adventuring in different places. Secondly,we can have hot chocolate and crackers! We also do lots of activities such as den building etc. We need to make sure that we have the right clothes before we leave.

Forest school!

I love forest school ,but sadly next Thursday is our last week. If you haven’t gone I will just tell you there is so many amazing places to explore. When I first started, the first thing I wanted to do most was climb a tree ,but I got up and wasn’t able to get down! On the first week me, Sahifa, Mikey and Adam made a group called the adventure. Even now we are still the adventure. There was a game we played mostly every week called silent ninga. What happens is every body hides exept one person. The person who is counting does a silly move and then the people who are hiding  have to be able to see the action. When the counter can’t find anyone else, they  sing, sticky feet sticky feet everyone together, until everyone is there.  Next we separate into two sides. People who where found and people who weren’t. The people who weren’t found had to either say ,or show the action. If you wrong, then we would now you couldn’t see the person.

Here is the thing mostly everyone says is the best bit you get HOT CHOCOLATE AND CRAKERS!!!
