This week I thought it would be fun to have a BAKE OFF in year 5 as I have seen lots of you have been enjoying baking at home with your families.

You need to make a cake of your choice and take lots of pictures of you baking and measuring out the ingredients. * Important * when using the oven an adult MUST do this!

To accompany your cake, make a persuasive poster enticing me to it, which can include:

• Alteration
• Emotive language
• Rhetorical questions
• Colourful and eye-catching pictures and text

Or a set of instructions on how to make your delicious cake (think back to our mummification instructions), which can include:

• Imperative verbs
• Time conjunctions
• Adverbs
