Birch class conducted an experiment this afternoon, timing how fast ice melts. We worked so well together in our teams, and everyone took their job very seriously!

We had three beakers using very hot, lukewarm and cold water. Our team checked temperatures, noted time and checked our predictions. A great way to spend the afternoon!
Year 4 Ash had a fun afternoon testing how long it took for ice cubes to melt in hot, cold and warm water! We then gathered our results and wrote them out into a table.

What a gift to spend time reading anything we wanted. Mrs Pendleton even read us her favourite childhood book. We had fun reading, making bookmarks and doing book word searches all while dressed up as our favourite book characters.

Year 4 Ash has had a fantastic day celebrating world book day! We have been doing lots of activities based around our favourite stories and even got to share them with each other!
We had Mrs Fox come and read us one of her favourite stories too! The children have had the best day! ☺️

Year 4 Birch had an amazing assembly this morning, showing off their singing skills and excellent knowledge about Roman life. Thank you to everyone for showing their support this morning. We had so much fun!
Birch class have had lots of interesting discussions about what mental health is and how to look after our own mental health. We thought about and drew the things and places that make us happy. On Wednesday, we had great fun with team games and problem solving in the hall thanks to Mrs Hyde.

Yesterday year 4 Ash really enjoyed their PE lesson. We did some activities to link in to Children’s Mental Health Week, the children worked really well on building some team building strategies.

Year 5 and Mrs Makwana’s writing club enjoyed a trip to see Cinderella at The Palace Theatre. Thank you to Mrs Butt who entered a competition and won tickets for us!

Every Tuesday in year 4 we have been learning how to play the ukulele with Mrs Edwards.
