Today, team 4P helped to make a difference in our local community. Armed with our litter pickers, we collected lots of litter on Victoria Avenue.
Today, we had a great time practising our oracy (speaking & listening) skills. We had a go at some new strategies and really enjoyed the traverse, trio and onion groupings.
Year 4 have had a great morning trying lots of different speaking and listening activities.
In our reading lesson we retold the events in chapter 4 of the Iron Man and scored points for using different words.
In English we played guess the word and practiced our informal speeches.
Year four have been learning about how to stay safe online in their PSHE lessons.
Come and join our parent workshop on Thursday the 21st March at 2pm where we will be exploring anxiety and how best to support your child.
This would be especially useful for those parents with children in year 6 on the lead up to SATS.
4P spent an afternoon investigating our science problem. Armed with ramps, metre sticks and unlabelled cans, our science teams found a way to help Uncle Astro.
“Read where ever you want to,” said the teacher. The class chose to read under the tables! We also had a guest reader, Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter (aka Mrs Atkins).
