We have been learning about all of the different things that a plant/flower needs to be able to grow. On Friday we planted sunflower seeds after sequencing pictures so we knew the correct order. We will now care for our sunflowers daily.

Today we started our new literacy topic ‘Blooming Marvellous ’. This morning we looked at some real flowers and got the chance to use our senses to explore them. We even did an observational drawing of them.

The children came back after half term and did some lovely writing about their week off school.

Tiger Class had so much fun on our trip to the beach.

As part of our seaside topic, Tiger Class visited St Anne’s beach. We enjoyed travelling on a coach, exploring the beach, having ice cream and making sandcastles together.

Tiger Class enjoyed a lovely day out to Heaton Park to celebrate winning the school’s attendance award. The sun was shining, we had lots of fun on the park and finished off our fantastic day with a delicious ice cream each.

This half term, Tiger Class are learning all about the farm and our class book ‘ Cock a Moo Moo!’.

Bowland Farm came to visit us in school and we were able to meet some farm animals in person. We fed and petted the different animals and even took turns taking an alpaca for a walk! It was a great day, thank you Farmer Dave.

Today, Tiger Class have had lots of fun learning about and celebrating Chinese New Year. We learnt about China, the animals included in ‘The Great Race’ and shared red envelopes with each other.
