This afternoon, Hazel class went to Primrose class to read them stories. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to visiting Primrose again!

Primrose class have been exploring our new topic areas. The children have been in the vets, farm shop, playing on the farm small world and been animal printing in the creative area. The children are getting to learn about animals and and what they sound like. Primrose class are getting very excited for their farm trip next week.

Primrose class had an amazing time at Heaton Park. The park keeper took us on a spring trail, where we met Scarlett the squirrel, who helped us find our way around the park. We looked at park maps, made arrows to follow, and learned all about directions. We also explored the different sounds sticks made when we banged them against various things in the park. The children enjoyed investigating spring, using magnifying glasses to look closely at spring flowers and collecting natural objects to make a bird’s nest. A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped make our trip so special.

Thank you to all the parents who made our stay and play brilliant. Primrose class had a great time decorating biscuits, painting flowers and creating mehndi hands.

Primrose class have enjoyed learning about our chicks this week and watching them hatch.
Primrose class have been using words like Hatch, Fluffy, Soft.

Well done to everyone who dressed up for World Book Day! We loved listening to so many favourite stories, and it was brilliant to celebrate together in assembly with our outfit parade.
A big congratulations to our Best Dressed winners and a special shout-out to Hassan from Primrose class, who was our overall winner! 📚✨

Thank you so much to everyone who attended our library session. It was lovely to see so many families there. Please remember to visit your local library and give your child the opportunity to experience the joy of going to the library and developing a love of reading books.

Spring has begun in Primrose Class. We have created a garden centre with lots of flowers and vegetables for the children to explore. The children have been making playdough flowers using cutters, scissors and pipe cleaners.

Primrose class have done lots this week.
We made our valentines cards for someone special with “I love you BERRY much!” inside.
To support mental health week, we had non uniform day and did our “My special People” activity sheet.
For the end of the topic “Goldilocks and the three bears” we made our invitations and had our very own teddy bears picnic.
