Yesterday morning, we had a special visitor in our classroom… Buddy! He came to visit us during our English lesson to help us learn about all of the different things animals need to stay happy and healthy.
Here are some photos of him in class.

This week Farmer David delivered some eggs to the children in Early Years. We have looked at them in the incubator and have been waiting eagerly for them to hatch. The eggs started to hatch on Wednesday night. The children in Zebras have had a chance to look at and hold the chicks this morning. We absolutely loved them – so cute and fluffy!
Farmer David brought in some of his farm animals for us to meet. We all had the chance to stroke a duck, hen and alpacca. We all had a go at walking the alpacca around the top pitch too. Once we all had chance to meet the animals (and Mrs Mottershead had chased a cheeky duck back into it’s pen), we spent time feeding and stroking the animals. I was so proud of all of the children for being resilient and having a go. Have a look at some of our pictures of our lovely morning.
We were really lucky in EYFS this morning. A farmer brought in some animals for us to meet. We all had the chance to stroke a duck, hen and alpacca. We were able to walk the alpacca around the top pitch too. Once we had all had chance to meet the animals (and Mrs Maskery had chased the cheeky duck back into it’s pen), we spent time feeding the animals. The farmer told us that two of the hens he had brought with him were actually some of the chicks we hatched last year in EYFS! Here are some pictures of our fun morning…
As part of the Great British Spring Clean, the Zebra’s enjoyed working as a team with Mrs Farrell to help tidy up our EYFS outdoor area. Here are some photos of us working…
Giraffe class grew cress for Science week. We learnt about what plants need to grow and then waited patiently for the seeds to grow into cress. Look at how tall the cress has grown!
We’ve had lots of fun learning through play today in Zebras. We enjoyed discussing our learning with our friends and problem solving along the way! Here are some shots of us in action…
Reception enjoyed their street dance session being free to express themselves.
