We have been learning about all of the different things that a plant/flower needs to be able to grow. On Friday we planted sunflower seeds after sequencing pictures so we knew the correct order. We will now care for our sunflowers daily.

Today we started our new literacy topic ‘Blooming Marvellous ’. This morning we looked at some real flowers and got the chance to use our senses to explore them. We even did an observational drawing of them.

The children came back after half term and did some lovely writing about their week off school.

Giraffe Class had a fantastic day at the beach, enjoying the sunshine and the fresh sea air. The children were wonderfully behaved, making the most of their time by building impressive sandcastles, playing lively games of football, and sharing a delicious picnic together. To top off the perfect day, they were treated to yummy ice creams, making for a truly memorable trip. It was a day filled with laughter, teamwork, and joy, an experience they will cherish for a long time! A big thank you to our grown up helpers too.

Yesterday some of Giraffe class started Forest School. The children got to climb trees. play in the mud kitchen, pretend to be woodland animals and had a go at leaf bashing with Mrs Rowley. They already can’t wait for their next session!

To our favourite dog Buddy. Happy 7th Birthday, we hope you have a lovely day!

With lots of love from all of the children in Reception
Yesterday we had a visit from Farmer Dave and his farm animals. We were all so brave and got to stroke and feed the animals. Farmer Dave brought 2 alpacas, goats, lambs, ducks and chickens. We are now going to be doing lots of learning about different types of animals. Hope you enjoy looking at our pictures!

We had a great time at our bingo tea party on Friday. The children enjoyed having their families there to show off what they have been learning in maths. Thank you to all of our families for taking the time to come and join us.

We had a fantastic morning watching the Science Boffins demonstrate experiments using fire! We had to make a promise that we would never try these experiments at home as Boffin Joel was a professional scientist. The children were amazed at the breath taking experiments.
