Maple Class Farm Visit

We visited a working farm today and the children were incredible from start to finish. We were really impressed at how brave they were interacting with the animals and taking part in real farming activities like herding sheep, collecting eggs, mucking out the pigs, feeding the horses and even holding the chickens. They threw themselves into every challenge and learnt so much about what it actually takes to run a farm.

Thank you to Moorside Farm for inviting us to explore your farm and meet all of the residents!

Thank A Teacher Day

Maple Class Staff want to say a huge thank you to everyone that took the time to make us a card or say thank you to us as part of our school’s ‘Thank a Teacher Day’. We really appreciate all of the thoughtful messages and designs.

I think we can all agree that we have lots of great adults that work at Bowker Vale…especially Mr Houston who nearly filled the post box!

Thank you everybody.

Maple Class The Great Science Share

Maple Class had lots of fun taking part in The Great Science Share, especially welcoming Walter the turtle into school.

Maple Class invited other year groups to estimate how long it would take Walter to wander from one side of the pen to the other; he was a lot faster than we thought!

Thank you Miss Brown for bringing Walter to Maple Class and letting him meet everyone at Bowker Vale and thank you to Mr Jones for sharing lots of interesting facts about turtles.

World Book Day

Maple Class have had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day!

All of the children made a brilliant effort with their costumes. Harrison and Miss Ball won an award for ‘best duo’ as Gangsta Granny and Grandson!

Can you guess which characters the rest of Maple Class have dressed up as?
