The children have worked incredibly hard during DT to create their Egyptian death masks. They showed great creativity, patience and attention to detail throughout the project, and the finished masks look fantastic! We hope they have taken pride of place somewhere special at home.
Year 3 really enjoyed our class swap, where they had the opportunity to share their stories from another culture. The children worked incredibly hard and produced some excellent writing. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow and they will be leaving Year 3 as confident, creative writers.
Despite the wet weather, Squirrel Class had a fantastic time at Forest School this week! The children embraced the rain and enjoyed a fun-filled session outdoors.
We gathered around the fire to toast delicious marshmallows and waffles, which were a big hit with everyone. The children also loved swinging, exploring the woodland area and working together to build dens.
It was wonderful to see the children showing teamwork, resilience and creativity while enjoying the great outdoors. Even the rain couldn’t dampen our spirits and we all had a memorable day at Forest School!
In Science we have been learning about plants and today we explored looking at different seeds using a magnifying glass. We then chose our own seed to plant and over the next few weeks we will care for it and watch it grow.
We would like to invite our Year 6 parents/carers and children to a Parent/Carers and Child Coffee Morning with Healthy Schools.
This will be a relaxed morning where we’ll share helpful advice about supporting your child’s transition to high school. There will also be time to chat, ask questions and enjoy a warm drink together.

In PE today, Hazel class did gymnastics! We practised lots of different types of balances!
Today, Hazel class practised their numbers in French. We also practised our conversational French, asking each other questions like ‘Comment t’appelles tu?’ and ‘Comment ca va?’. The class really impressed us with their language skills!
Year 4 are learning how to group living things. We walked around Bowker Vale and found lots of living things to group!
