Year 2M Science Share

Year 2M had a fantastic morning at the Great Science Share. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring all the science investigations, especially their own big question ‘Can bigger hands pick up more cubes?’

The children measured their own hand span and then compared to others in the class to consider the variety in sizes. They predicted that the bigger hands would be able to pick up more cubes. However, when they completed the ‘hand span grab’ investigation, they found little relationship between the size of the hand and the number picked up. Instead they noticed that the way of picking up the cubes had a bigger impact on the results!
