Year 2M Terrific Tuesday

Good morning Year 2, another exciting day ahead. I hope you can all join me at 9.30am and 2.15pm for our Google Meet sessions! It is really important we try to stay active whilst learning from home, so this morning I would like you to ‘Move it’

English – Today in English you are going to use all your work from the past few days to write a character profile. Remember to use all your targets. You can use the character profile WAGOLL below to help you.

Maths – In Year 2 you should be able to read and write numbers from 0-100 in numerals and words, so this morning I would like you to practise. Use the number bond rap to help you.

Science – We have finished our unit on ‘Living things and their habitats’, so over the next few days we are going to be learning all about extraordinary scientists. In this lesson, we will learn about Katherine Johnson, her main achievements and the story of her life. We will learn how she used maths to get rockets into space and back home safely.

Geography – In class we have been learning all about the UK and Kenya. In this lesson we are going to be learning about the seven continents. We are going to learn what a Geographer is and how important they are. We will be looking at the seven continents, comparing their size and location on our planet. We will then be learning all about what the equator is. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil for this lesson. Let’s get started!
