I have finished my lava lamp and I hope my other classmates will write a blog about their experiments as well because they will have amazing project.

First fill the bottle with 1/4 water and 3/4 vegetable oil.

Next you wait till the 2 substances have separated and then add a dozen drops of food colouring ( no particular colour ) and watch the oil and water mix.

Then add Alka-Seltzer tablet – or other tablets that fizz- ,but you must break it up into 5 or 6 pieces.

Now you have a lava lamp!

If your lava lamp ever switches off then all you have to do is add another tablet.
