Forest School

We had a fantastic experience at Forest School. We went on a trip to ‘Narnia’, which is located in Blackley Forest. We worked collaboratively as a team to create dens for the animals mentioned in our new story, ‘Bear Snores On’. During our time there, we had the opportunity to explore the beautiful natural surroundings and learn about the forest during the winter season. Also, we enjoyed hugging trees.

Parent Stay and Play

Parents and carers were invited into the Nursery class to experience and enjoy our learning with their child. The children had great fun showing their grown ups around their classroom and letting them know what they get up to in school each day! From reading stories, counting, painting, modelling, building creations, mark making to playing in the role play. Everyone had a fantastic time. The sessions are also a great way for families to get ideas on how they can support their child’s learning.

Mrs Hamid-Butt would like to thank everyone who attended.

Forest School

Wow, Nursery have enjoyed their first day at the forest School. What an amazing time we have had, making so many memories together! Nursery are fabulous explorers! Being in the forest has allowed our children to become inquisitive and curious about the world around them. We have learnt how to take care of all living things and how to respect our environment with lots of messy and creative fun along the way…

Parrenthorn High School Visitors

Last week, Years 5 and 6 were lucky enough to have a visit from Mr Bell, the Headteacher at Parrenthorn High School. He brought along some of our former Bowker Vale pupils – it was lovely to see their familiar faces! They explained all about what year 7 is like at Parrenthorn, the subjects you can study and answered all of our questions (we had lots!). Mr Bell also informed us of the upcoming open evening (6th October) and lots of us were eager to attend!
