Wow, what an amazing day of fun, dressing up and reading! It was amazing to see the effort that had gone into the costumes and to see everyone reading books and sharing stories!
Here are the pictures of today’s winners for most creative costumes!

I bumped into lots of talented witches and wizards on the corridors of Bowker Vale today!
We had a wonderful day celebrating books and stories for World Book Day! We made our book marks, designed our own front covers and did some adventurous reading on the Vale Trail!
We have thoroughly enjoyed our forest school sessions over the last few weeks! Our favourite session was when it snowed and it turned Narnia into a winter wonderland!
Yesterday Tom from Explore Learning came in to Year 3 to teach us all about coordinates. We used our knowledge of north, east, south and west to navigate our ship to the treasure without hitting any rocks!
Class 3A were incredibly excited to see that a new machine had been delivered to the classroom! It came with a mysterious letter from Terri the time traveller. She asked us to put fuel in the machine to get it to work. We had to be extra careful though because if we put anything magnetic in it, it would break! We carefully tested our materials to make sure we had the correct fuel and then our machine did something magical!
To start our Monday morning we received a mysterious message which lead 3A to follow the trail of small, shiny stones (just like Hansel and Gretel!) and find a stash of brilliant books! We will be exploring these books in class over the next week.
