In Science we have been learning about animals including humans. We’ve spent time building a skeleton by labelling the different parts of our body particularly the bones for support and protection.
In Computing we have been exploring Adobe sparks to create a party invitation!
The children enjoyed having Buddy in the classroom. They learnt interesting facts about Buddy and how to be safe around dogs. They also created Buddy posters afterwards.
We had a fantastic time at Forest School. Some of the children made friendship bracelets and enjoyed spending time by the river Irk.
This week we have been working hard on our Moving Volcanoes D&T project in year 3M. We were learning all about how a CAM can be used to create a moving part. Here are some photos of us proudly showing our final pieces!
Today in Maths, the children have been working really hard on their 8 times table. We used lots of concrete resources to help us with dividing within the 8 times table.
The children spent the morning with Mrs Nicholson at Forest school. They even explored the fascinating, fast, flowing, river Irk!
The children were excited to see investigator Terry! She asked the children to explore what soil is made out of. This week we will be investigating what the best type of soil for growing an apple seed is, do you have any ideas?
The children enjoyed spending time this afternoon tinkering with mechanical systems, using different shapes.
