We were very lucky this week to be chosen as the school to support Sainsbury’s Active Kids programme, having collected the most Active Kids vouchers in the area over the last year. It meant we had a visit from a very special guest, Lucy Bronze, who plays for Manchester City and England!

Most children remembered her for her winning goal for England against Norway from outside of the penalty area in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.

Some of our children got to see her show off her football skills and get some expert advice during a special coaching session. Sky Sports were also there as part of their show, Game Changers. Keep a look out for our soon-to-be TV stars!
