6P World War 1 Memorial Modelling

6P have been exploring WW1 memorials during topic lessons. They have studied and evaluated the qualities that an effective memorial has, so they can develop ideas to create their own.

Using what they have learned, they have gone on to design what they think would be a fantastic memorial.

After tinkering with clay, salt dough and a dough mixture of flour and water, it was decided that clay would be the most effective material to work with.

How world war one started

World war one started because of two things [I’m just going to tell you one]. The to reasons were Germany were jealous of Britain because Britain ruled many countries. The other reason was one of the members of the black hand gang shot Franz Ferdinand and his wife. If you would like to learn about how the first world war happened please read on.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  The black hand gang                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    The black hand gang was a vicious group of people in Serbia. the death of Franz Ferdinand and his beloved wife [which was called Sophie] was in Sarajevo and arrived by train at 9:28am . The Black hand gang tried to kill Franz, but they failed repetitively. At the end while the Black hand gang were having a picnic, they saw Franz and his wife while they were on a carriage they all stood up and one person shot them both dead. They were very close of failing because Franz had a bullet roof vest but he got shot on the neck.
