Whole School Protest

Our class spent time learning about the what education is like for children in South Sudan. They were so appalled by the lack of funding, teachers, resources and schools, that they wanted to show their support for this important cause! They explored how poetry could be used to illicit empathy for this cause, wrote chants and slogans inspired by the rhythm of Lulu’s ‘Shout!’, created rosettes in the colours of South Sudan’s flag and wrote persuasive emails to UNICEF to persuade them to fund more schools in South Sudan. They were so passionate at the protest and should be so proud of how hard they worked!
