Year 1S – Spring Walk to Blackley Forest

In Science we are learning about seasonal change and Plants, so we went for a Spring walk to Blackley Forest. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and whilst we were there we observed signs of spring and compared what the forest looked like to what it looked like in Autumn.

The children were fanatstic explorers, they had remembered lots of the physical features of the environment like the River Irk and all the trees. They remembered the human features like Bowker Vale on the other side of the river, bird boxes, and the bridge. We also explored and identified some of the names of trees and plants.

The Everywhere Bear joined us on our adventures and we had a fantastic time.
