Friday English Year 4

Good morning everybody! Today we’re going to look at using past progressive tense. You need a past tense verb to be and a present tense doing verb. Remember our past tense verbs to be – was and were. Present tense doing verbs use the base form plus ‘ing’:¬†going, seeing, talking, studying, playing, flying.

By adding the past tense verb to be and present tense doing verb, you can change a simple past tense sentence into past progressive tense.
