We were very proud of our Winter Art Exhibition that took place this week – lots of families were able to visit and were amazed at the brilliant art and design work. Many commented how professional the exhibition looked and were impressed that all the children, from Nursery to Year 6 took part and had a piece of work displayed.

Our ‘Active Playground’ has also been installed and children have started to be trained on the equipment today and will continue into next week. Nursery and Reception children are too small to safely access the equipment and also have their own appropriate play area. Year 1 and 2 will do so under teacher supervision during some of their PE lessons. Year 3, 4, 5 and 6, once they have been shown how to safely use the equipment, will be able to access it during PE lessons and also during play time and lunch times.

PLEASE NOTE – the equipment is not for parents or families to use. Also, just like the Vale Trail, children will not be allowed to use the equipment before or after school at the start or end of the school day. This is for health and safety and insurance reasons. Thank you for supporting school with this. The children are all aware of this rule.

School Council have been concerned about the devastation in the Australian bush, where fires have destroyed wildlife and communities. They have asked to have a non-uniform day next week (Fri 31st) and raise money to send to Clifton Creek Primary School, which has been burned to the ground, and is relying on charity to support their rebuilding programme. Please support this valuable cause if you can.
