A young Indian boy loses his way and ends up in a den of wolves and Shere Khan the terrible tiger who will not stop Mowgli.The characters are  bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear and Kaa the terrible python and chil the bird akele the leader of the wolf pack  brothers and sisters mother and father wolf and Mowgli the man-cub and Shere Khan the terrible tiger.

I like the book because Mowgli is a wonderful boy and Shere Khan the cruel tiger.
