INVISIBLE INK

What you will need?

Half a lemon

Water

Spoon

Bowl

Cotton bud

White paper

Lamp or other light bulb

First squeeze some lemon juice into a bowl and add a few drops of water.

Next mix the lemon juice and water with the spoon.

Then dip the cotton bud into the mixture and write your own secret message onto the paper.
After that wait for the juice to dry so it becomes completely invisible.
Finally When you are ready to read or reveal your secret message heat the paper by holding it close to a light bulb.

COLOUR CHANGING MILK EXPERIMENT

What you will need?

Milk (whole or 2%)

Food colouring (red,yellow,green,blue)

Dinner plate

Dish-washing soap

Cotton buds

First pour enough milk in the dinner plate to completely cover the bottom to the depth of about 1/4 inch.Allow the milk to settle.

Next add one drop of each of the four food colouring to the milk.Keep the drops close together in the centre of the plate and milk.

Then find a clean cotton bud for the next part of the experiment.Predict what will happen when you touch the tip of the cotton bud to the centre of the milk.Its important not to stir the mixture.Just touch it with the tip of the cotton bud.Go ahead and try it.Did anything happen?

After that place a drop of dish washing liquid on the other end of the cotton bud.Place the soapy end of the cotton bud back in the middle of the milk and hold it here for 10-15 seconds and look at the colours burst.

Finally add another drip of soap to the tip of the cotton bud and try it again.Experiment with placing the cotton bud at different places of the milk.What makes the food colouring in the milk move.
